Well, I didn't spend the entire morning and early afternoon on the phone. I got two loads of laundry done and hung out too, and I fed David breakfast and lunch. It just feels like I spent the entire day so far on the phone. And I found out that my insurance company hasn' ( Read more... )

David is home, both loads of laundry are hung up, the dishes are put away, etc. Sitting out and watching the chickens for a while cheered me up nicely, but now I'm feeling crabby and tired again. I have icewater, and that's helping, but I am still sleepy ( Read more... )

The laundry may dry someday. The chicks are out. At one I am going to bring in the laundry that I desperately need to be dry tomorrow and take my chances with the rest. Then I'll catch the chicks and bring them in, for which they won't thank me, pack up the necessary stuff in our little red wagon if I haven't already, and head off to David's ( Read more... )

It's 9:30, and I've already got laundry done & waiting for me to hang it out. I need to grab myself some breakfast and start more laundry too.

It's hot. I wish I had a moped or an NEV or something, I'd take David and me to the lake and spend the entire afternoon there. Maybe I'll do that tomorrow and just have Adam pick us up on his way home.

Way too hot. Or humid. Or both. I don't know. Work is progressing, but not as quickly as I'd like. And David wants jam, but we're out of rice cakes. Oh well, we do have some GF hamburger buns in the freezer.

David is home, all the laundry is hung out, the corn is sitting and getting limed. Still stuff to do, but at least I've made a start. Would it be a complete cheat if I made freezer jam instead of heat processing it? Must see if the Ball Blue Book has a recipe.

I was wondering why I feel depressed today, and I noticed that I feel quite tired. I stayed up until 1 AM reading The Assassin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb last night/this morning, and I was up past three the night/morning before reading Citizen of the Galaxy and then trying to get to sleep afterwards. My left wrist hurts enough that I iced it and took pain meds. I've still got the squishy high-tech pseudo-icepad wrapped around it with one of Kathy's old headbands, even though it's warmed up enough that I don't need the quilted placemat I was using to insulate it anymore.
